Education Congress Osnabrück 2018 - Learning in the Future

On November 5, 2018, the education congress "Learning in the Future", organized by the district and city of Osnabrück together with the Osnabrück Universities of Applied Sciences, the Georgsmarienhütte Steelworks Foundation and the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation, took place. We all know that education is a dynamic process that must constantly adapt to changes in society. Increasing heterogeneity, digitalization or people's desire for greater participation pose major tasks for the education sector, making it necessary to rethink structures and professional requirements, for example in daycare, child and youth work or schools. Starting with a keynote speech by the well-known philosopher Prof. Dr. Nida-Rümelin, the congress brought all those entrusted with shaping education in our region into conversation with one another in future workshops. Together, they looked at the future of education, discussed challenges and developed solutions for our work. Particularly valuable for this discussion were the assessments of the children and young people who had also dealt with this topic in the run-up to the congress.
