The Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation has been inviting participants to this spelling competition since 2015, which was launched in 2011 by the Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt am Main Foundation. There are now seven regions and cities nationwide where the competition takes place. High school students, parents, teachers and anyone else who wants to compete in the German language can take part. The regional winners travel to the finals on the Main.
