Osnabrück, January 29, 2024

On February 1, 2024, Michael Prior, the long-standing Spokesman of the Board of the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation, will leave his position and hand over to Christian Schiffbänker. Michael Prior will devote himself to new tasks in the region's education sector, while Christian Schiffbänker will move from the management of the Belm secondary school to his new position.

"The Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation would like to thank Michael Prior for his successful work over the past 13 years," said Prof. Dr. Norbert Winkeljohann, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. Michael Prior has been instrumental in bringing the mission "Promoting education - taking everyone with you" to life and has developed the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation into one of the leading institutions of its kind in the city and district of Osnabrück. "But I also think the entire foundation landscape in our region, of which Michael Prior is also the spokesperson for the "Foundation Network for the Osnabrück Region" and which the Bohnenkamp Foundation helped to initiate and develop, owes him a debt of gratitude."

Birgit Bohnenkamp, Chairwoman of the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation, also bids farewell to Michael Prior "on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire team with best wishes for his new tasks and his future path." She thanked him "for the many years of good and friendly cooperation and Michael Prior's intensive commitment to shaping the Foundation's profile and strategy."

"With Christian Schiffbänker, our foundation will now be headed by a representative directly from educational practice," said Norbert Winkeljohann, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is delighted "that a high-profile principal is now setting out to actively shape the 'other side of the desk' and, as Chairman of the Board, to develop us from a supporting to a more operational foundation."
