Colorful autumn action for children and godparents

Carving pumpkins at the Villa Hecker Osnabrück

Osnabrück, October 2022

At the invitation of the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation, an autumnal community event for children and sponsors from the Caritas project "ProFilLive" has now taken place. In this project, immigrant children and young people are supported in their integration by volunteer learning and leisure mentors. At Villa Hecker, 17 participants met to carve pumpkins and cook pumpkin soup together. The Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation has supported the Caritas project "ProFilLive" for 10 years. "Thanks to this help, we were able to build a successful project that will remain with us. In recent years, we have been able to reach well over 100 children and young people with this offer," explains project coordinator Jennifer Schotter from the Caritas Association for the City and County of Osnabrück. In addition to language and school support, the project also focuses on joint leisure activities. "We would like to thank the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation for their many years of support and the beautiful conclusion at Villa Hecker."
